Permatex 1 Minute Grey Instant Rubber Gasket Maker - 10oz

This high-performance gasket maker is engineered for rapid application and can be used for a variety of automotive needs. It is designed to withstand higher torque loads and is blowout resistant, forming leakproof gaskets that can be put into service in just one minute. As a sensor-safe product, it seals instantly and creates a durable elastomeric rubber gasket that outperforms traditional precut gaskets. It is resistant to oil, coolant, and ATF, making it ideal for high-temperature environments up to 450°F (232°C) continuously, and up to 500°F (260°C) intermittently.

Applications:

Perfect for automotive uses including valve covers, oil pans, transmission pans, thermostat housings, and water pumps.

Directions:

Begin by cleaning and drying the parts to be sealed. Cut off the tip of the cartridge, then attach and cut the nozzle at a 45° angle. Insert the nozzle into a standard caulking gun. Apply a continuous bead of 1/8" to 1/4" on one surface, ensuring to surround bolt holes. Assemble the parts within five minutes and tighten to recommended torque levels. The material will effectively fill surface imperfections. To reuse, leave a 1/2" length of material extending out of the nozzle, allowing the cured material to form a protective plug. When ready to reuse, carefully remove the plug and dispense as before.

NOTE: This product is not recommended for use as a head gasket or on components in contact with fuels.
